Styron Reyes Geotechnical, LLC (SRG) is an engineering consulting firm established in 2024, specializing in geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing services. With offices in Austin and San Antonio, SRG provides personalized service and senior-level expertise while maintaining the agility of a specialized firm to deliver efficient and responsive solutions. Our firm was founded with a mission to provide high-quality, data-driven engineering solutions while serving our clients, community, and one another with integrity and expertise.
SRG was founded by John Styron and Robert Reyes to provide geotechnical engineering, materials testing, and consulting services. SRG has a highly experienced team with over 100 years of combined expertise in geotechnical engineering, materials testing, and site investigations. Our professionals have in-depth knowledge of Texas’ diverse soil conditions, particularly in Central Texas, enabling us to provide tailored engineering recommendations that support safe, durable, and cost-effective construction.
To further enhance our capabilities, SRG collaborates with Burge Engineering & Associates (BEA), a firm with extensive expertise in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and environmental consulting. This partnership allows us to supplement resources as needed, ensuring comprehensive support for our clients.

Project Capabilities
Our field services include drilling, sampling, and in-depth laboratory testing to determine site-specific conditions. These investigations utilize auger, push tube, split spoon, TX cone penetrometer, and rock coring methods, with all
testing conducted in a certified laboratory by experienced engineers and technicians.
Additionally, SRG provides materials testing services, including:
- Concrete mix design and performance testing;
- Soil and aggregate compaction and classification;
- Structural steel and reinforcing materials evaluation;
